I finally caught "Big Jim" on the north end of the lake. I was using a locally dug earthworm from my Boxwood Drive backyard on a small hook with a bobber.
He snapped my rod since I had been using a lighter rod lately because all the fish I have caught at that spot have been 4-8 inch sunfish or what I call "baby channel catfish", and the lighter rod makes it more of an adventure reeling in the small ones.  It wasn't  quite "Jaws," but a similar emotional experience ("I think we're gonna need a bigger boat"!) :)
I threw him back to let him get bigger! - Bob Panoff
